Dr. Sammi and his Toy Shop
Dr. Sammi is a retired pediatrician in Bethlehem who now runs a toy and souvenir shop.
As a stranger who just moved into a new place, I once stopped by his
shop to ask for directions to some second-hand furniture shops.
His response?
He closed his shop, and took us there in his car!
So it is also not surprising why we did not have any medical bills for the whole year--Free consultation, together with coffee!
It has been two years now, happy to meet him again in his shop!
Life is full of surprises, this one probably among the biggest. Thought last year in Jordan was just a one-year detour. Then I found myself crossing the Jordan River into the West Bank. Why Bethlehem? Have been asking myself all this time. I can think of no better reason than that it is because of Him. If there is any story to tell, it's going to be His.
